No matter the age, learning to play the piano can be loads of fun and also, quite frustrating. Children and adults, alike, can find it difficult to get their hands and eyes to send the correct messages to their brains, and do it all at the same time. In other words, becoming coordinated with our hands and learning to read music, at the same time, doesn't always happen as quickly as we'd like it to.
As teachers and students of piano, we find that a very significant hindering factor, is students looking at their hands and not the music. This can slow down the learning process and create undue stress for both the student and the teacher. So, we came up with Hidden Hands™, a piano training tool, designed to hide the students hands from view, when playing, which then forces them to look only at the music. We have found that this tool has greatly increased the students ability to learn, as well as, the speed at which the students learn to read music, learn coordination, and learn to put all of these factors together, in order to play the piano, successfully. It also encourages correct posture when playing and it will never touch your piano, as it is supported by the student.
